PLACES utilizes a variety of rapid visualization methods very early in the design process, in advance of labor intensive digital renderings or animation. Our method focuses on timeless design attributes such as how a place feels, scale, proportion and big-picture thinking.

PLACES often works with other design firms during design charrettes and early design conceptualization. This includes freehand sketching and intuitive digital tools to fit seamlessly into all forms of design presentations. Clients often prefer the use of these techniques as a design becomes better understood, sometimes supplementing the concept package for preliminary construction pricing. This can be achieved prior to committing to a final design direction.
